Masked men crash a dance party before robbing and attacking attendees in Kowen Forest, ACT

A dance party in a forest descended into chaos when masked intruders arrived and robbed and assaulted attendees.

ACT Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the series of assaults and robberies at the dance party off Sutton Road in Kowen Forest on Sunday morning.

Police and emergency services were called to a dance party in Kowen Forest at around 2.45am following reports of the incident.

When police arrived, victims and witnesses said a group of Pacific Islander-looking men attended the party in a silver van and began demanding cash and valuables from partygoers.

The perpetrators were dressed in black and the group arrived and left the scene in a silver van.

Police identified several robbery and assault victims and two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are collecting information from partygoers who have not yet provided their details and from anyone who saw a silver van in the area near Sutton Road before or after 2.45am.
