Which schools are open/closed on Monday September 30th?

Some Tampa Bay area schools are still closed as recovery efforts continue from Hurricane Helene.

Below you will find the most current information on school closures:

Citrus County

Schools will be OPEN Monday with a few changes. Some students will not be able to be in their regular classrooms due to water damage. Click here to view the plans.

DeSoto County

Schools reopened on Friday September 27th.

Hardee County

Schools reopened on Friday September 27th.

Hernando County

No updates provided.

Highlands County

Schools reopened on Friday September 27th.

Hillsborough County

Hillsborough County Public Schools announced this will be the case OPEN Monday.

Manatee County

Schools will be OPEN Monday, according to the school district’s website.

Pasco County

The school district’s website says all schools will do this OPEN Monday, EXCEPT for the West Pasco Education Academy. Separate communications will be sent to parents regarding this school’s reopening plans.

Pinellas County

Pinellas County schools will be OPEN Monday for all schools EXCEPT Gulf Beaches Elementary, Madeira Beach Fundamental K-8 and Disston Academy. These will remain closed to students until Wednesday, October 2nd, according to the school’s website.

Polk County

Schools will be OPEN Monday, according to polkschoolsfl.com.

Sarasota County

Officials announced all traditional and public schools in the county will do so OPEN Monday.
