Viewers were impressed by Nick Knowles after an arm injury

Knowles danced an American Smooth routine to Blur’s Parklife on the live show tonight and viewers at home were impressed with his performance.

“Well done Nick, you did a great job on the injury! Lovely American Smooth #Strictly,” one wrote.

“Nothing but full respect for Nick. He did his best with limited training and a terrible song selection, plus his injury. I hope the public gets behind him and votes for #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly,” another added.

More like that

“It definitely looked like Nick was in pain there #Strictly,” a third fan commented.

It wasn’t just the viewers at home who were impressed, as the judges gave the couple a score of 21.

After his performance, Craig Revel Horwood told Knowles: “It was a bit heavy-handed but I’ll tell you this Nick, you’ve got potential and we saw that tonight.”

Motsi Mabuse added: “I agree with Craig, definitely potential, you moved easily. And I wouldn’t have known there was something wrong with your arm if I hadn’t been told.”

Meanwhile, head judge Shirley said: “I hope all the people at home appreciate that you only had 16 hours to get this done. You did it and didn’t make any mistakes. I’m not going to judge your footwork because that’s what I feel.” It would be a bit unfair what you did for 16 hours.

Anton Du Beke was also full of praise for Knowles, telling him: “To be honest, I didn’t think your footwork was that bad. I thought your figure was pretty good. I imagine it’s really quite nice to dance with you.”

He continued: “You seem like a great partner. They have a nice, compassionate hold. Their elevators seem good and safe. They move well over the ground. I would say in your language: ‘This house is very built.’ “good basics”
