Shattered Space release time and level recommendation.

Shattered Space release time and level recommendation.

Starfield: Shattered Space comes out on Monday, September 30th, and since there were no press release codes, I’ll be playing with you all then. But when will Shattered Space be released? Bethesda has now released a list of regional times so you can find out when it will be live in your region. Here’s the breakdown of Shattered Space’s release times worldwide:

September 30th:

  • 8:00am – PDT
  • 9:00am – CST
  • 10am – CDT
  • 11:00 AM – EST
  • 12:00 p.m. – BRT
  • 4:00 p.m. – BST
  • 5:00 p.m. – CEST
  • 6:00 p.m. – AST
  • 8:30 p.m. – iST
  • 11:00pm – HKT/CST

October 1st:

  • 00:00 – JST
  • 1am – AEST
  • 4am – NZDT

And this appears to apply to both PC and Xbox at the same time, which isn’t always a guarantee for releases like this. The strange thing is that September 30th is a Monday, which has left some players upset that the release isn’t happening on a weekend to allow for more play time. It’s unclear why exactly they did this, but it’s far from the only game/content launch on a weekday.

I haven’t really thought about it, but Bethesda now recommends players be “at least” level 35 before playing the Shattered Space expansion because “Va’ruun’kai is dangerous.” In the context of the game and how quickly the early Leveling is not a big challenge. And I think if you’re a big fan of the base game to be interested in playing Shattered Space, you’ve probably already reached at least this level. I think that at level 105 I can handle a character who basically can’t die, even on new difficulties.

How will Shattered Space fare? Well, a few million people already bought the pre-release package that includes the DLC when the game came out, so most of them will probably show up. Then there are Steam buyers. Then there are “free” Xbox Game Pass players who need to be convinced to spend money now that the expansion isn’t available on GP.

There are strong indications that this isn’t the only major expansion Bethesda has planned for Starfield, but we should keep in mind that they’re simultaneously developing Elder Scrolls 6, which Microsoft is sure to want to release within the next decade. It’s been hard to believe , announced in 2018.

I’ll be playing on Monday at 11am and I’m wondering how long the DLC will end up taking if it’s limited to one planet. But I’m sure there will be a lot to do.
