Sisilia Tuipulotu has been one of the stars of Welsh rugby in recent seasons, so it’s no wonder head coach Ioan Cunningham admits her absence is “not ideal”.

In fact, that’s probably a huge understatement considering the prop was one of Wales’ most potent attacking weapons.

Cunningham hopes she will return to the South Africa squad after what the Welsh Rugby Union called an “administrative oversight”.

I think Wales fans could think of another way to describe the mistake!

“The matter is being handled fairly efficiently at the moment and we hope to resolve the visa situation fairly quickly,” Cunningham said.

“Sisilia will be a big loss for us, but it gives the players other opportunities to show what they can do.”

“I’ve spoken to her, obviously she wants to be with her teammates and she wants to be in the squad, but she also completely understands the process that needs to be done, which we’ll complete pretty quickly over the next few days .”
