Pork Industry Scholarship Applications Open | The mighty 790 KFGO

The National Pork Producers Council is accepting applications for the 2025 Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarship. Ten scholarships valued at $2,500 are awarded annually to college students pursuing careers in the pork industry and pursuing a leadership position in the industry. The CME Group and the National Pork Industry Foundation sponsor the scholarships.

“The strength of the American pork industry lies in the hands of its future leaders,” said Lori Stevermer, NPPC president and Minnesota pork producer.

The scholarship program honors former NPPC Board Director Lois Britt, a lifelong supporter of agriculture and member of the NPPC Pork Industry Hall of Fame.

Any undergraduate student enrolled in a two-year swine program or a four-year agricultural school is eligible to apply. Applicants will be evaluated based on essay submissions that describe current or future problems facing the pork industry and propose solutions.
