Lifetime Movie Inspired by Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Romance Coming Soon | COST 103.5

Swifties will love this.

A new Lifetime Christmas movie inspired by the whirlwind romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be released in November.

The plot is about a mega pop star who can’t find love but constantly sings about her relationships. Then she meets a professional soccer player who publicly expresses his interest in her.

The two begin a romance in the always challenging, red-hot world of celebrity.

Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce aren’t credited as the official inspiration for Lifetime’s “Christmas in the Spotlight,” but the similarities between fact and fiction couldn’t be more obvious here.

And to make the film even more realistic, the actor playing Kelce briefly played in the NFL.

The new romantic comedy is part of “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime,” the network’s lineup of holiday films that begins November 16. This year, Lifetime will air 12 new movies every Saturday and Sunday through Christmas Day.

It’s going to be a very merry Christmas with two new TV movies inspired by today’s hottest couple.

The Hallmark Channel was in Kansas City over the summer to film “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” which is set to hit theaters Nov. 30. The film stars Tyler Hynes, Hunter King and Ed Begley Jr., with guest appearances from Chiefs players, head coach Andy Reid and Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce.

The film will be shown during Hallmark’s annual “Countdown to Christmas,” which begins this Friday.

Hallmark has released a trailer for its film, but Lifetime has not yet announced it.

The main roles are played by Jessica Lord and Laith Wallschleger.

Lord plays superstar Bowyn, who meets Wallschleger’s character Drew after one of her concerts. Their relationship is tested by their busy schedule and outsiders who claim the relationship is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

According to Lifetime, they “have until the end of the holiday season to decide whether they want to stay together or let everything go down in flames.”

Swift and Kelce were tagged in Lord’s Instagram post last month while she was promoting the film.

“Hands down one of the funniest roles I’ve ever had the pleasure of bringing to life,” she wrote. “This was an absolute dream and I can’t wait for you to meet Bowyn!”

Emmy Award-winning talk show host and producer Jeannie Mai, a familiar face on television, plays Bowyn’s manager and TikTok influencer Haley Kalil plays Drew’s sister-in-law in her television debut.

“Christmas in the Spotlight” premieres November 23rd.
