Pop-up boutique Grit + Gals opens this weekend in Cottonwood

COTTONWOOD, Calif. – A boutique is celebrating the grand opening of its new pop-up shop in Cottonwood this weekend.

The business, Grit + Gals Boutique, started online five years ago when its owner, Shaylee Perry, was a college student.

Merchandise includes jewelry, clothing, home accessories and children’s items.

Perry told KRCR that she is looking forward to opening her first storefront just in time for the holiday season.

“I love Cottonwood as a whole, just the community is great, and Grit + Gals has really given me the opportunity to meet so many more people. I think that’s probably my favorite part and the reason I keep doing it,” Perry said. “I’m trying to get more unique items, things you can’t find in your typical store or boutique.”

She added, “One of my goals is to keep the small, old-town Cottonwood feel here for the store.”

The store’s grand opening will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m

The boutique is located at 20834 Front Street in Cottonwood.

The event will allow you to purchase permanent jewelry and will also feature a bouquet bar.

Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m

Perry said the pop-up will close its doors at the end of January 2025 and the online store will continue to operate after that.
