New video shows two suspects vandalizing an area in front of the Mikveh Israel Congregation synagogue in Old Town Philadelphia

New video shows two suspects damaging an area in front of the synagogue in the Old City

PHILDELPHIA (WPVI) — Investigators released new video early Tuesday morning showing the suspects in two incidents at a synagogue in the Old City.

The first shows a man setting a fire in a dumpster outside the Mikveh Israel Congregation synagogue on North 4th Street.

According to police, this happened around 2 a.m.

Hours later, around 6:30 a.m., surveillance video captured two men trying to gain entry to the synagogue.

According to police, they were unsuccessful but caused damage to the fence and a door.

Investigators say it is currently unclear whether these incidents are related.
