FIRE CHARIOT SHOWN AT THE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP FILM NIGHT

On Sunday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m., Bible Fellowship Church (in Paulding, Ohio, across the street from the hospital) is hosting a family movie night for everyone in the community.

The film Chariots of Fire, winner of four Academy Awards, is the inspiring true story of two young British sprinters as they compete for glory at the 1924 Olympics. One of the athletes is Harold Abrahams, the son of a nouveau riche Jew who runs to overcome prejudice. The other is Eric Liddell, a Christian missionary.

The story is told in flashback with Eric Liddell, a devout Scottish missionary who qualified for the 100-meter dash, but when he learned at the Olympics that the preliminary race was to be held on Sunday, he refused because of his Christian faith to run beliefs. He ended up taking part in and winning the 400 meters when a British teammate gave up his place in the 400 meters because he had already won gold.

Admission to the film is free and there is popcorn and water, also free.
