“‘Happy Death Day’ Director Christopher Landon Teases Third Film”

The spooky 2024 season continues with an exciting update to the modern horror franchise Happy anniversary of death, reported by the writer/director himself, Christopher Landon.

Christopher Landon has served as the creator of the horror-comedy franchise since the original film debuted in 2017. The sequel is aptly titled Happy Death Anniversary 2U was released in 2019 and after poor box office success, there was speculation that the film series had been canceled.

However, Landon has since confirmed his development regarding the third film’s story to Comicbook at New York Comic Con, rekindling hope in the bleeding hearts of fans of the first two. He even hinted at a fun twist that would immediately set the film apart from its predecessors.

“I could say that I wrote a treatment. “I didn’t write the script because I wouldn’t write a script if it wasn’t safe,” Landon shared. “The cool thing about it is it’s a bigger movie and it doesn’t take place on the same day as the previous two movies. This is the biggest spoiler I’ve ever posted.”

Since the third film takes place on a different day than the one that Jessica Rothe’s character Tree had to relive Happy death anniversary 1 And 2It opens many doors full of possibilities to explore. Some fans are even speculating about a possible crossover with Landon’s other horror comedy Freakywith Kathryn Newton, in preparation.
