TCU Horned Frogs in the NBA for the 2024-25 season

As the NBA season begins, TCU has two players representing the Horned Frogs for the 2024-25 season Desmond Bane And Kenrich Williams.

Also worth mentioning is the educated TCU guard Damion Baugh will play in the NBA G League for the Westchester Knicks.

Here’s what roles Bane and Williams will play this year and what types of players they were at TCU.

Desmond Bane, TCU, Memphis Grizzlies

Desmond Bane played four seasons at TCU from 2016 to 2020, where he was a two-time All-Big 12 selection before becoming a first-round pick of the Grizzlies in the 2020 NBA Draft. The 1.90 meter tall shooting guard immediately developed into one of the league’s best scorers and averaged 23.7 points last season in his fourth year in the NBA. Bane will remain one of the league’s best young stars in his fifth season with the Grizzlies and will continue to put the Fort Worth school on the map.

Kenrich Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder, TCU

Kenrich Williams played at TCU from 2014 to 2018, earning All Big 12 honors in his final season and earning jersey number 34 in 2024. After going undrafted, the 6-foot-1 forward has six NBA seasons with the Pelicans played and the thunder. Williams enters his fifth year in Oklahoma City and his seventh in the league, where he will continue to be a senior role player for the Thunder.
