Missouri High School Football Class 6 District Winner Prediction in 2024

Class 6 is full this season. From traditional MCC Powers to Nixa and everything in between. All corners of the state are represented far below.

The playoffs begin November 1st and SBLive will preview all the top teams, matchups and more, starting with Class 6.

We also identify a sleeper in each district. This could be a team that has a high ceiling or exceeded expectations during the regular season.

Winner: Jackson (6-2)

Jackson had success this season and played tough games. Senior WR Kai Crowe is an outstanding wideout who can keep the chains moving. A balanced offense that uses running and passing equally. Even though they are the favorites, this is a tough district with several teams that have roughly the same talent level

Sleeper: Seckman (8-0)

Seckman has one of the best rushing attacks in the state and Brady Ambrose is the star backer. At 8-0, they are an interesting team. How they fare in tough playoff competition will be the next test. They play their style of football and bring physical strength to the game.

Winner: CBC (7-1)

The Cadets are a traditional powerhouse with new faces this season. A strong defense with outstanding defensive backs is led by Indiana commit and defensive end Triston Abram. On offense, Nick McClellan was a revelation when it came to QB throws to targets like USC commit Corey Simms. A favorite to make it back to state.

Sleeper: Kirkwood (5-2)

Jeremy Maclin has done an excellent job getting Kirkwood back to the level many believed he was capable of. 2026 Jacob Eberhart is an up-and-coming candidate. He plays both WR and DB. The Pioneers have one of the best passing attacks in St. Louis.

Winner: De Smet (6-2)

De Smet was one of the favorites at the start of the season due to his talent level and coaching. They played a difficult schedule that should pay off in November. QB and Kansas State commit Dillon Duff will be key if they want to make it to state. The Spartans have a defense that offers Power 4 prospects at all three levels.

Berth: SLUH (5-3)

SLUH is a ground and pound team that selects its strike plays well. Zach Allen and Jordan Taylor make for a formidable playmaking duo for 2026. On defense, it’s all about Keenan Harris, a positionless junior who has offers from some of the best programs in the country. The Jr. Bills always have a tough time when it comes to college prospects.

Winner: Troy Buchanan (8:0)

Troy has developed into a football school in recent years. Their program has remained strong despite a coaching change. Hunter Humphrey and Carter Dowell make a great QB-RB duo. Her speed and vision in the open field can make the difference in games.

Berth: Rock Bridge (7-1)

Rock Bridge, a traditional power in Columbia, must do its best to get out of this district. Senior QB Brady Davidson is a pure passer who has played well this season. The Bruins have a strong senior core that puts them at the forefront in big games.

Winner: Nixa (8-0)

Nixa is a team that many will be keeping an eye on. One reason for that is 2026 Jackson Cantwell, a prospect many consider to be the best in the country. A possible sectional game against a Kansas City or St. Louis program will be interesting. Expect them to lean on their running game in the colder months.

Sleeper: Joplin (5-3)

Joplin has done a great job of making teams either win or play hard. They’re a tough bunch that plays solid defense and has some real playmakers on the other side of the ball. The Eagles have won eight straight seasons, which is a sign of excellent coaching and culture.

Winner: Lee’s Summit North (8-0)

Lee’s Summit North has become a state power and their 2025 vintage is great. Offensively, it’s all about Isaiah Mozee. The 6’1 Nebraska commit is an elite pass catcher. Ka’Mori Moore sets the tone on defense. Both are sought-after prospects for the next level. The Broncos are an explosive offense with defensive playmakers.

Sleeper: Lee’s Summit (7-1)

Lee’s Summit is having a great season and picking up a lot of points along the way. Their 2026 WR Karsten Fiene was a big riser. One of the most explosive passing attacks in the Kansas City area.

Winner: Blue Springs South (6-2)

Blue Springs South is one of the best teams in the state, there is no doubt about it. A strong defense led by junior Jaden Richberg. He is one of the best plug and play linebackers in Missouri. The Jaguars got off to a fast start this season.

Sleeper: Liberty North (5-3)

This year there is a new Eagles squad. They are still strong defensively and have Tillman Martin at quarterback. A well-coached squad that still has the championship DNA in it. They have to raise their level in the playoffs. Two of their three losses came against quality opponents also on this list.

Winner: Park Hill (6-2)

The Trojans had a great season. They are an athletic boundary team that can run through the air, cover and make plays. A strong 2026 class gives them a chance to compete this year and beyond. They are solid in all aspects of the game.

Bed: Oak Park (5-3)

Oak Park is a team that has a high ceiling in the playoffs. Offensive talent is a strength. From Utah signing Drew Clemens to South Dakota State signing Travon Pankey and everyone in between. They can run, get short gains in the passing game and average 27 PPG.
