Registration for the Surf Expo in January 2025 is possible

Surf Expo, the premier water sports and coastal lifestyle trade show, has opened registration for its January 8-10, 2025 event at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Known as a key marketplace for discovering innovative product lines, Surf Expo continues to be an important platform for retailers to explore new trends and make key business contacts.

The January show follows a successful edition in September 2024, which saw retail buyer attendance increase by 5% and total qualified attendance increase by 7%. “There was a level of optimism that I hadn’t felt in a long time,” said Roy Turner, Surf Expo senior vice president and show director. “The participants at the trade fair did what really matters: discovering new products and making solid business deals. This reflects growing market confidence and signals even greater momentum.”

Attendees of the January 2025 event can look forward to a wide range of product categories including surfing, skating, paddling, shoreline, swimwear, boutique, resort, footwear, coastal gifts and souvenirs. This extensive variety continues to attract interest from independent retailers as well as major chains and big box retailers, ensuring a diverse mix of shoppers.

Tom Brown, owner of 17th Street Surf Shop, spoke about the strategic value of the event: “After attending Surf Expo in September, we had a clear vision for the opportunities in the coming year. Our meetings with new and established brands have helped us plan our key business strategies and we look forward to building on them in January.”

Surf Expo provides an unrivaled platform for the watersports, beach and coastal lifestyle industries, bringing together buyers and brands for collaboration, networking and business development. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to engage with existing customers, build new ones and plan for the future,” said Nick Lhotsky, Global Director of Sales at Dark Seas. “We look forward to meeting everyone in January to discuss the upcoming 2025 fall/holiday season.”

The January 2025 trade fair will offer a mix of established brands and fresh new arrivals, ensuring a comprehensive selection of goods for retailers. “Surf Expo is an incredible opportunity to meet new vendors, discover innovative products and stay ahead of emerging trends,” said Pash Dawani, owner of Magens Bay Beach Club and Boutique. “We look forward to the new opportunities that January’s event will bring to our business.”

Several major retailers have already confirmed their participation for the January event, including REI, Urban Outfitters, LL Bean, Sandal Factory, Glik’s, Farias Surf & Sport, Hawaiian Island Creations, San Diego Zoo, Noble House Hotels & Resorts, Coastal Edge, Heritage Surf & Sport, Starboard Cruises, Sun Diego, Hi Tech Surf Sports and Travel Dealers. Buyers from throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America and beyond will be in attendance, making Surf Expo a truly international marketplace.
