First alarm forecast: Near record-breaking warmth mid/end of the week

First alarm forecast: Near record-breaking warmth mid/end of the week

WEDNESDAY: The high and dry pattern continues – as highs continue to rise; Although we’re not a record holder, we’ll be knocking on the back door of record warmth by midweek. Expect highs in the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies; with mostly clear skies reaching the upper 50s.

THURSDAY: Morning highs in the 50s will quickly move toward the lower to mid 80s as the day progresses under mostly sunny skies. A weak front moving south of the region will gain a slight lead over the highs during the afternoon – although still within reach of record highs. A persistent southerly breeze will increase humidity and bring low temperatures into the upper 50s and lower 60s through early Friday.

ADVANCED FORECAST: Record highs could be reached on Friday, with a quick rebound toward the mid-80s during the afternoon hours. Another front will break through late Friday. This weekend, highs will fall back into the 70s, with a chance of some showers on both Saturday and Sunday. The cooler air quickly escapes and returns toward the lower 80s early next week. Another front could move through the region by mid-to-late next week – which could provide a better chance of rain.
