When is “We Live in Time” coming to stream?

John Crowley’s moving romantic drama We Live in Time may have been one of the most anticipated releases of the second half of 2024.

The film follows talented chef Almut (Florence Pugh) and cereal salesman Tobias (Andrew Garfield) falling in love, and then chronicles the ups (and downs) of their relationship over the course of an entire decade, depicting these events in a non-linear fashion Fashion.

The film was finally released in the United States on October 18, 2024, after a limited release a week earlier, although potential viewers in other parts of the world have one much wait longer for their hands; For example, We Live in Time will not be shown in the UK until New Year’s Day 2025.

With that in mind, it’s no surprise that many romance fans are already trying to figure out when We Live in Time is coming to streaming. Here you will find all the latest information we have on this topic.

At the time of writing, the only way to see We Live in Time (at least in the US) is to go to the nearest theater.

Like other new releases, “We Live in Time” will initially be available to watch at home on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) providers such as Prime Video following its theatrical release; If you really want to see it at home as soon as possible, you’ll have to buy or rent it there.

Unfortunately, distributor A24 has not yet confirmed when “We Live in Time” will be available to stream. But at least we know Where it’s streaming: Max. This is due to a deal A24 made with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring all new releases to Max ahead of all other services.

While we don’t have an official streaming date for We Live in Time, we can at least try to guess the release date could based on how long it took for A24 films to end up on Max.

It usually takes at least a few months for a new A24 film to appear on Max. Take “MaXXXine” for example. Ti West’s horror thriller hit theaters on July 5th and was available to stream on Max 106 days later on Friday, October 18th. Meanwhile, Alex Garland’s gripping drama Civil War took 155 days to arrive on Max on September 13, while I Saw the TV Glow arrived on Friday, September 20, 141 days after its May 3 release on the streamer.

Given the huge differences between theatrical and streaming release dates, it’s difficult to set an exact streaming date for We Live in Time (without an official announcement). However, if we assume that it will take at least 100 days for John Crowley’s romantic drama to appear on Max, we can assume that it will not be on the Warner Bros. streamer until sometime in 2025.
