Black Ops 6 is the latest entry in Activision’s long-running Black Ops wing of the Call of Duty series. Specializes more in alternate history and espionage crafting than other Call of Duty games. Black Ops 6 launches with a new campaign set at the height of the Gulf War. As usual, the game will feature a campaign, a multiplayer mode and a zombies mode.

Black Ops 6 Releases on Windows PC (both Steam and Battle.net) at 9:00 PM PDT on Thursday, October 24th. Here’s what time that is in your time zone, or you can check the image above:

  • October 24, 9pm PDT for the west coast of North America
  • 12pm EDT on Oct. 25 for the east coast of North America
  • October 25, 5am BST for Great Britain
  • 6 a.m. CEST on Oct. 25 for Western Europe/Paris
  • 1:00 p.m. JST on Oct. 25 for Tokyo

When will Black Ops 6 be released on PlayStation, Xbox and the Microsoft Store?

For PlayStation, Xbox and Microsoft Store PC Players, things are a little strange. Activision announces a release window for the game 4:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. PT on October 24th.

At least Black Ops 6 should be available before midnight PT on October 25th, but could also launch a few hours earlier. For now, your best bet is to follow the Call of Duty blog or the official Call of Duty social media accounts. However, we will update this guide as Activision provides more clarity.

Is Black Ops 6 on Game Pass?

Yes, Black Ops 6 is the first Call of Duty game to arrive on Xbox Game Pass after Microsoft officially acquired Activision Blizzard last year. However, there is a small catch here. Game Pass Core and Game Pass Standard subscribers will not have access to this Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at startup.

The game will only be released for PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. If you already have one of these tiers, you’ll be able to play along with everyone else on launch day. If not, you’ll need to upgrade to a higher Game Pass tier or purchase the game separately.

What’s new in Black Ops 6?

Black Ops 6 is the return of the sub-series that began more than a decade ago and applies the alternate history to the Gulf War and America in the early 1990s. As usual, the game contains the three big Call of Duty classics: campaign, multiplayer and zombies. Unlike last year’s title, this Zombies mode returns to its classic turn-based variant.

The big new feature for this game is Omnimovementwhich dramatically improves players’ ability to maneuver the battlefield in and out of combat.
