Part of being a star in the NFL is being prepared for your name to come up in trade rumors, and the Las Vegas Raiders’ star defensive end is no exception.

On his podcast The Rush with Maxx Crosby, He addressed recent trade speculation and assured fans that he has no interest in playing for another team.

“I sit here innocently doing what I do. I feel like I need to discuss it with my teammates,” said Crosby (28:00). “I’m like, ‘I’m trying not to leave,’ you know what I mean? I know it’s a business, I know I don’t have 100% control, but I want to be here, I want to be in silver and black. I’ll say it loud and clear: I want to be a Raider… When I see all the madness, it’s fucking crazy… What the hell happened to it?

ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently reported that the Lions are looking for additional defensive help but that signing Crosby would be “unrealistic.”

That should be good news for both Raiders fans and Crosby, who has consistently expressed his desire to remain in Las Vegas despite the team’s struggles.

“You know where I want to be,” Crosby said in early October, according to ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez. “Do you think I want to be somewhere else?” No. I have this shit tattooed on my body. I don’t want to go anywhere…it’s just fun. There are a lot of people who have a… a lot to say when they really don’t know what’s going on.

Crosby, who has spent his entire six-year career with the Raiders, is having another standout season after recording a career-high 14.5 sacks a year ago. He has 23 tackles and is on pace to match his career high with 6.5 sacks so far.

The great start to the year for Crosby hasn’t translated into wins for the Raiders, who are 2-5 in their first seven games and have another thought opponent this week when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
