Is it time to accept the Los Angeles Chargers roster as it is?

Reality sets in for the Los Angeles Chargers as life with Harbaugh and Greg Roman takes its toll.

The Chargers have one of the worst receiving yards and the second-worst passing offense in the NFL, averaging 136 passing yards per game entering the week.

The only team that passes the ball worse than the Chargers is the New England Patriots, who have one win this season.

There is currently no hope in sight for the Chargers as a trade for receiver help does not appear to be in the cards.

Los Angeles has already missed out on Davante Adams and Amari Cooper, and it appears the Chargers will also miss out on a reunion with Mike Williams.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in ongoing discussions with the New York Jets about acquiring Williams. Those talks are expected to resume this week after being put on hold due to the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Steelers and Jets.

Roman appears to be able to persuade the Harbaugh family to share his belief that a dynamic passing game isn’t necessary in the modern NFL.

The Baltimore Ravens drafted Lamar Jackson with Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Willie Snead IV as his top two wide receivers. As the season progresses and teams become active on the trade market, the Chargers appear to be comfortable with Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey as Justin Herbert’s top targets.

As long as that remains the case, Chargers fans can prepare for more wasted years in Herbert’s prime and several more years as one of the twelve teams that have never won a Super Bowl, despite being among the teams that did before NFL gave. AFL Fusion.
