Take a closer look at the Boston Celtics 2024 championship rings

Full ceremony: Celtics receive championship rings for 2024

BOSTON, Mass. โ€“ Boston Celtics fans had the opportunity to witness a truly historic evening on Tuesday as the team raised Banner 18 from the rafters of the TD Garden. Information about the 2024 NBA Championship Rings can be found below:

  • The 2024 championship rings were created in collaboration with Jason of Beverly Hills.
  • The 18 emerald-cut diamonds on the outer bezel represent the 18 franchise championships, and the 84 diamond dots on the side bezel represent the Celtics’ playoff winning percentage during their championship season.
  • The inner bezel features 16 emerald-cut diamonds representing the total playoff wins for 2024. The results of the 2024 playoff series are listed on the inside of the ring shaft.
  • On the front of the ring are 30 dot diamonds in “world” representing the overall season the Celtics played at TD Garden. The word “Champions” includes 80 white diamonds to recognize the team’s 80 total wins in the regular season and playoffs.
  • The famous parquet floor pattern is engraved on both sides of the ring, and the years of the Celtics’ past championship seasons wrap around the ring.
  • A team in the ring also holds the combined record for the 2024 Boston Celtics season (80-21).
  • The player side of the ring features the player’s name and number, with two diamonds flanking the side of each player’s name, representing the total number of championships currently owned.
  • On the ring side, the ring features the inscription โ€œWhatever it Takesโ€ to highlight the 2024 Team mantra.
  • Inside the ring there are two hidden elements that are only visible when the ring attachment is removed. On the inside top of the ring is a piece of the famous parquet floor with the date and result of the team’s championship game on one side and the championship banner and each player’s jersey number on the other side.
  • For the first time in history, an NFC chip was installed in every ring. This technology allows the recipient to place their phone on the wooden parquet on the inside of the ring and show a video of each person’s ring and how it was made.
  • โ€œWe worked closely with the Celtics owners on the ring design. The Celtics had 17 championships before last season, which means they had 17 championship rings before us. We all wanted to make sure the 18th was the best and most memorable,โ€ said Jason Arashaben, CEO Jason of Beverly Hills.
