Crescent City Sports will broadcast Country Day – Dominican Volleyball live on Wednesday – Crescent City Sports

NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Sports’ live streaming coverage of high school sports continues Wednesday with a clash between two of the most decorated prep volleyball programs in Louisiana, Country Day and Dominican Republic.

First serve from the Dominican campus in Uptown New Orleans is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CCS’ coverage begins at approximately 5:20 p.m. with Jude Young and Skylar Ensign describing the action.

Country Day (22-4), which has won 14 state titles in the last 15 years, sits atop the LHSAA’s unofficial Division V power rankings heading into Tuesday night’s game at ML King Charter. Coach Julie Ibieta’s Cajuns enter Tuesday on a 13-game winning streak, including the title at the Ed Daniels Volleyball Invitational last weekend at Country Day.

Dominica (21-7), the four-time defending Division I champion, is currently ranked third in the Division I Power Rankings. Coach Jessica Chatellier’s team has won 10 of its last 11 games.

The teams met on Sept. 26 at Old Metairie, with Country Day winning in four sets (25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18). Last year, the Dominican won two consecutive victories in the home-and-home series.
