Women’s football

Friday – vs. Utah, 7 p.m., Prentup Field (ESPN+)

NOTES: The struggling Buffs enter the final game of the regular season with an 0-2-3 streak that immediately followed a 10-game unbeaten streak that was the third-longest in program history. CU (10-3-4, 4-2-4 Big 12) has not scored a goal in its last three games during a losing streak of 287 minutes and 22 seconds. The Buffs’ last goal was scored late by Ava Priest in a tie at Texas Tech on October 10. … The Buffs fell to No. 54 in this week’s RPI. … The tie in Cincinnati last week and the loss at West Virginia have eliminated the Buffs from contention for a top-four spot in the Big 12, which includes a first-round bye in the conference tournament that begins next week. The Buffs can still finish anywhere between fifth and ninth. … After missing five straight games and eight of the last 10 games, top scorer Shyra James came off the bench in Sunday’s loss to West Virginia and played 35 minutes. … James and CU’s other seniors will be honored during the final game festivities at Prentup Field. … The Buffs are familiar rivals, having spent the last 13 seasons together in the Pac-12, and are undefeated in their last five games (3-0-2) against the Utes. …Utah (8-5-4, 5-3-2 Big 12) has won four of its last five games and has consecutive home wins against Houston and Baylor. … The Big 12 Tournament begins Oct. 30 in Kansas City.

Women’s volleyball

Wednesday – vs. West Virginia, 7 p.m., CU Events Center (ESPN+)

Friday – vs. No. 21 BYU, 7 p.m., CU Events Center (ESPN+)

NOTES: The Buffs had a three-game winning streak, their longest of the season, ending with a three-set loss at No. 13 Arizona State last week. … The loss at ASU was just the second time this season the Buffs were defeated. … CU (10-9, 3-4 Big 12) has never played West Virginia. … The Mountaineers (7-11, 1-6 Big 12) earned a five-set win at home against Central Florida last week that ended a six-game losing streak. … BYU is tied with local rival Utah for No. 21 in the AVCA Top 25. … The Cougars posted a four-set win at home against CU on Sept. 26. Ana Burilovic was the Buffs’ favorite with 16 kills. … CU libero Sarah Morton, a transfer from Auburn, reached 1,000 career points in a win at Arizona last week. … The Buffs play two games next week in Texas against TCU and Baylor.
