Aaron Rodgers addresses the “distressing” nose-picking videos controversy

Aaron Rodgers swears it’s not what it looks like.

The Jets quarterback reacted to the sight of his fingers entering his nose and then going to his mouth while standing on the sidelines on Sunday night during his interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday.

“It is difficult to defend this position because the video is a little incriminating. It looks like it,” Rodgers said. “I’ve actually never eaten my boogers and I’m very proud of that.”

Rodgers insisted this never happened, not even as a child.

The incident occurred as NBC pivoted to Rodgers in the final minute of Sunday night’s embarrassing 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rodgers claims he used smelling salts to stay focused during the game.

That focus was mostly lost in the second half, as the Jets gave up the final 31 points after taking a 15-6 lead.

Rodgers was also seen holding a small water bottle to his nose, which was believed to contain odor salts.

Rodgers threw two interceptions during the game, one of which was clearly the fault of star receiver Garrett Wilson as the ball hit him right in the numbers but bounced into the air and was caught by Steelers cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr.

Bishop almost returned the ball for a touchdown but was tackled at the one-yard line.

The 2-5 Jets now face a must-win game against the Patriots in Week 8 as they enter the game as heavy seven-point road favorites.
