Tuesday evening forecast from First To Know

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – We are in a repeating daily weather pattern dominated by a high pressure zone to the north and a steady northeast to east wind. These winds provide Atlantic moisture and support isolated afternoon clouds. Most of these will weaken as the evening progresses, leaving areas of clear skies.

In the evening, temperatures will drop to 70 and 60 degrees late into the night. Overnight lows will be around 60°, with some in the mid to upper 50s across southwest Georgia.

The drier influence will continue on Wednesday with the same weather conditions. Sunshine will be plentiful, mixing with a few fair weather clouds due to increasing warming during the day. Highs will be in the mid 80s in most areas.

Thursday and Friday will become a little drier (less humidity), resulting in a slight drop in morning lows back into the mid to upper 50s, close to the late October average. The air mass doesn’t really have a cold air connection, so afternoons through the weekend could reach into the 80s.

If you’re hoping for rain, there are slight signs that the chance of rain will increase slightly next week, but at the moment they don’t appear to be huge or overwhelming. But at least it’s something more than what we have now.
