Lady Gaga’s new single “Disease” gets a haunting video teaser: Watch

As fans prepare to see Lady Gaga’s “Disease,” the pop superstar released a haunting new video trailer for the upcoming single on Tuesday (October 22).

In the clip, Gaga – wearing a short white dress – frantically runs away as a car follows her in a suburban neighborhood. The camera is positioned inside the vehicle, making it appear as if viewers are chasing her as her long black hair blows in the wind behind her.

The only music heard in the teaser is a series of eerie piano notes, followed by a percussive beat at the very end. Gaga didn’t reveal anything else in the video’s caption, simply writing: “ILLNESS 10.25.”

“Disease” is the first taste of the 13-time Grammy winner’s highly anticipated seventh album. Gaga dropped out at the end of September harlequina companion album that coincided with Joker: Folie à Deux; The project debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200, marking her third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 billboard Jazz charts.

The “Rain on Me” artist first announced that “Disease” would be released on October 25th in an Instagram post, a day before the new teaser, and shared a promotional poster that showed her in the same white dress about the Seeing the hood of a car bent over was like she had just been run over. Ahead of the announcement, fans noticed that she had hidden the title of the track in her discography on Spotify, lowercase certain letters of previous releases on the platform and posting lyrics of the track on cryptic websites.
