2024 election live updates: Trump seeks Latino votes at roundtable; Harris takes part in an NBC interview

Trump wants God to come down and count the electoral votes based on the crowd

In the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, Kamala Harris has gained a narrow lead of three points over election rival Donald Trump, putting her ahead of the Republican by 46 percent to 43 percent.

The Vice President is in Washington, DC today recording an interview with NBC. On the campaign trail, former President Barack Obama will accompany Vice President Tim Walz in Wisconsin and later appear with rapper Eminem in Detroit, Michigan.

Former President Trump is tracking the Latino vote with a roundtable in Miami and will hold a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, to bolster the vote in a state Democrats haven’t won since 2008, but that appears to be this one year to be in the game.

Trump was on the campaign trail in the hurricane-ravaged state on Monday, where he again pushed a false conspiracy that the government had allocated FEMA disaster relief funds to illegal immigrants, encouraged fear-mongering about “migrant crime” and vilified Harris for human trafficking.

In Michigan, Harris appeared alongside Never Trump Republican Liz Cheney, accusing her “increasingly unstable” rival of “hiding” by not debating her again and urging voters: “We cannot despair. “

“We rise to a moment, standing on the broad shoulders of people who have fought this battle for our country before,” she said.

On the ground: I saw Trump’s audience leave a rally early while he was ranting about migrants. The spectacle is over

In Greenville, it was Trumpmania – without the mania.

Donald Trump’s “Get out the Vote” rally on the campus of East Carolina University (ECU) was the picture of a fading spectacle. His visit to campus coincided with the start of homecoming week at ECU — in addition to the school’s nearly 30,000 students, thousands of purple-clad alumni are also in town to enjoy some of its old college-era glory.

The Independent I saw very few of them on Monday.
