BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) — A group of thieves were caught on camera stealing from a Burbank store, and the store owner wants to spread the word.

The incident occurred on Thursday at Qurves Boutique on Victory Boulevard.

According to Burbank police, two women caused a distraction while two others stole items. Surveillance video shows them stuffing $400 worth of clothing and other goods into their skirts.

A similar crime was reported in Upland last month. In that incident, a group of women left a supermarket with $1,100 worth of wine bottles under their clothes.

Upland police are asking for the public’s help in finding three women who were seen on camera stealing 15 bottles of wine from a family-owned convenience store.

Two of them went into the wine department while a third woman distracted the clerk. They drove off in a blue Honda Odyssey minivan with an Oregon license plate.

Police were unable to say whether there was a connection between the two thefts.
