New opponents can finally play with meta team comps

New opponents can finally play with meta team comps

New leaked enemies from Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 and above have started to leak, and a group of them may be playing around with meta team comps due to their unique abilities. Version 3.0 was intended to mark the third year of the game’s release, introducing the fourth world for Trailblazers to explore. In version 2.0, players were taken to Penacony, the Planet of Celebrations, where they solved another Stellaron crisis – as the Nameless continue their journey across the galaxy, they are expected to achieve another goal and the local population help them deal with their problems.

With each new objective, HoYoverse’s turn-based role-playing game not only receives new characters that are gradually introduced, but also new groups of enemies that fit the general themes of the world. There have been a few rumors about version 3.0 so far, and most of them have revolved around characters. There were some Honkai: Star Rail Character leaks in Stoneheart, for example, suggest the arrival of another IPC unit after version 3.0, as well as the return of the HP loss mechanic in some characters, which could take over follow-up attacks in the game’s current meta.

Leaked enemies in Honkai: Star Rail may take character positions into account in team competitions

Team formation orders can affect opponents’ attacks

According to information from the leaker known as Sakura Haven, four new enemy codenames have reportedly been leaked for the fourth world in version 3.0. The details were published in a post tagged “Reliable” on Reddit. As the leak shows, The leaked Unicorn and Griffin enemy types can have attacks that target three of the player’s characters that are not in the first position of the team composition if all four playable units are still alive. This would mean that the position of the characters in Honkai: Star RailTeam compositions would greatly influence gameplay.

Gameplay descriptions are missing for Hearse and Nikadory, the other two enemy types listed in the leak – the rumors merely speculate about what their names might mean.

Currently, the order of character positions in teams doesn’t play too much of a role in gameplay, although it does affect some specific mechanics. The first one present since the game’s release is this Characters who are frequently attacked by enemies are better placed in the first or last place of the team composition. Therefore, an attack from an enemy with a blast radius would affect the target and only one adjacent target. If the targeted character were attacked in the middle of a team composition, the explosion damage would hit two different adjacent characters.

Details about the 5-star Herta in Honkai: Star Rail could be revealed during a version 2.6 event and could be linked to previous leaks about her.

The second mechanic came into play recently with the introduction of the Lushaka, the Sunken Seas planar ornament set. This ornament set grants a secondary buff effect to the first character in the game Honkai: Star Rail Team deployment order if the user is not in the first position. As such, The order in which characters are positioned in a team composition is important when Lushaka, the Ornaments of the Sunken Sea, is used by a character in the current team competition. Aside from these, there is little reason to worry too much about the order of a lineup.

The order of team lineups could play a larger role in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 and beyond

As the game’s next objective introduces new enemies who care about characters’ positions in team rosters, this type of mechanic may become even more important as new patches are released. When the order of characters in team lineups becomes so important, Once players begin planning team compositions for their characters, they must go through a whole new level of strategic thinking. Now, since order could play an important role in who gets targeted, it may be worth leaving it at that Honkai: Star Rail Support in the first slot for example.

Why I’m Excited About Honkai: Star Rail’s New Leaked Characters (And Why You Should Be, Too)

There are rumors of two new Honkai: Star Rail characters coming after version 3.0 that will bring back the best combat mechanics yet.

However, if the same supporter uses Lushaka ornaments, it may be better for him to endure the damage from the leaked enemies in version 3.0 to trigger the ATK buff to his main DPS in the first slot of the group. The mechanic may require a lot more planning. Of course, this should be taken with caution as the leaked version 3.0 opponents may be incorrect, incomplete, or subject to change. Despite it, Honkai: Star Rail delves deeper into the mechanics of the game, so the team lineup order shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
