Wonderfan app offers rewards for watching sports shows

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Birmingham-area app developer in our area says he wants to reward sports fans for watching and participating in sporting events.

Blake Patterson says this Wonder fan The app gives you “miracle coins” just for showing up at the stadium.

And the longer you stay in the stadium or scroll the app when you’re at home, the more virtual coins you get from the app, which you can spend at the stadium or with the app’s partners such as apparel or delivery services.

“The TV product is so good in 2024 that it is difficult to get fans into the stadium. So how do we get them in? “But how do we reward them when we bring them in?” says Patterson. “The most loyal fans out there are sports fans. What we want to create and what we have created is an app that will serve fan engagement. So it’s watch to earn, select (a team) to earn, and scroll to earn.

Patterson says they are also looking for investments to support the development and growth of the app.

Currently they have around 10,000 users and want to grow to 100,000.
