Summit League announces 2024-25 national basketball television schedule on CBS Sports Network

SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Summit League announced a nine-game regular season of men’s and women’s basketball games that will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network. The nine-game schedule will be added to the four games scheduled to be televised on CBS Sports Network beginning with the 2025 Summit League Basketball Championship, including the men’s semifinals on March 8 and the women’s and men’s title games on March 9. March.

A total of 13 Summit League games will be broadcast linearly on CBS Sports Network for the second year in a row. The schedule begins with a women’s basketball game between Duke and South Dakota State on Sunday, November 17th. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT at the newly renovated First Bank & Trust Arena in Brookings. The Blue Devils finished 11th in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25, while the Jackrabbits were among 16 teams to receive votes in the first poll of the season.

The first men’s game on the schedule will also feature a national team as No. 2 Alabama visits North Dakota on Wednesday, Dec. 18 for a tipoff at 8 p.m. CT. The Crimson Tide, a national semifinalist in 2024, have former All-Summit League player Grant Nelson on their roster as he returns to his home state to face the Fighting Hawks.

The seven remaining regular season games are all Summit League matchups, starting with a 2024 men’s championship rematch between Denver and South Dakota State. The Pioneers, who made their first appearance in the title game a season ago, will visit the Jackrabbits on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. CT, the opening night of Summit action.

Kansas City, the men’s preseason favorite, will make the first of two appearances on CBS Sports Network when the Roos travel to Omaha to take on the Mavericks on Wednesday, January 8 at 8:00 p.m. CT.

North Dakota State and St. Thomas will play in St. Paul on February 2nd. This is the first of three Sunday afternoon programs to air on the network. The Bison and Tommies drop off their tips at 3:00 p.m. CT in the Schönecker Arena.

The top two teams in the 2024-25 Women’s Preseason Poll will face off on Saturday, February 8 at 11 a.m. CT when the Jackrabbits host Oral Roberts. Both teams won more than 20 games a season ago.

The Bison men host the Golden Eagle men on Thursday, February 13th at 8:00 p.m. CT. The Coyote men will then host the Jackrabbit men at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center on Sunday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m. CT. SDSU will host the final game of the regular season as the Jackrabbits play Kansas City on Sunday, February 23rd at 1:00 pm CT.

CBS Sports Network will also broadcast four games from the 2025 Summit League men’s and women’s basketball tournaments. The men’s semifinals will air on Saturday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT, along with both title games on Sunday, March 9. The women’s championship game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. CT and the men’s championship game is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT.
