MILF Messenger is a fake iPhone application that was reportedly the fourth most popular app in the Apple App Store in mid-October 2024, just below Bluesky. The earliest known MILF Messenger meme was posted on X/Twitter in July 2023 and consisted of an edited App Store screenshot showing the app at number six on the “top charts.” In October 2024, in the midst of the rising popularity of the app Bluesky, one of the app users, @zachsilberberg, posted a similarly edited screenshot showing MILF Messenger right below Bluesky in fourth place, which led to a wave of reactions and memes about the fake app that is believed to be an app used to message MILFs.

On October 17, 2024, Bluesky user @zachsilberberg posted an altered screenshot of the Apple App Store’s top charts and wrote, “This is kind of crazy.” In the screenshot, the Bluesky app is in third place and circled in red. Just below in fourth place is a fake app called MILF Messenger. The post received over 260 likes within four days.

The image was published several times in the following days, with some apparently believing it to be real. For example, on October 18, Bluesky user @esqueer posted it saying “LFG!” and racked up over 2,100 likes in three days. That same day, Bluesky user yoloswaglord420 reposted it and wrote, “We finally beat MILF Messenger,” which garnered over 1,500 likes in the same time period.

Later that day, Bluesky user alexvont reposted the meme and wrote, “I expect this to change once you all find out about MILF Messenger.” This suggests that people are flocking to download MILF Messenger, when they see the meme, which garners over 1,100 likes in three days. He posted on the same day
