The crime scene investigator is expected to take the stand when the Delphi double murder trial resumes

An Indiana State Police crime scene investigator is expected to be the first on the witness stand Tuesday morning in the Delphi double murder trial.

The prosecution will continue its presentation with this investigator before the defense’s cross-examination.

The jury that will decide the fate of Richard Allen heard for the first time Monday from searchers who found the bodies of Libby German and Abby Williams on the Delphi Trail more than seven years ago.

The panel also heard from some of the first police officers on the scene and saw graphic photos from the crime scene.

Some jurors became emotional as they looked at the evidence.

Some of the more than 30 grisly photos confirm details about how the girls were killed and their bodies found.

The two teenagers were covered in blood and had their throats slit.

The defense is asking the judge to block two enhanced files of Snapchat videos from Libby’s phone.

They say interpreting these sounds requires subjective analysis.

Testimony continues Tuesday at 9 a.m.
