First details about the next game leaks from the “It Takes Two” studio.

Last weekwe reported on the overwhelming success of It Takes Two – the co-op title from Hazelight Studios (known for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out). Josef Fares and Co. have been preparing their next co-op adventure for two years – the first details have now leaked.

After the announcement last week that “It Takes Two” has officially sold over 20 million copiesHazelight Studios founder and director “Josef Fares” took to Twitter to announce the team’s next project. proverb:

“I get a lot of questions about the next game. Here’s a taste. It’s a brand new IP called S**** ******N. I can’t wait to show it off soon.”

While this was all we got at the time, known leaker billbil-kun revealed this about Dealabs “According to our information, the new game from Hazelight studio will be called ‘Split Fiction’. The title has also been in development for at least two years.”

While no further direct details have been revealed, as with Fares’ previous titles, the name likely has strong significance to the game’s mechanics – meaning it almost certainly has something to do with the game’s split-screen implementation.

Each of Hazelight Studios’ successive games has been more creative than the last, and so it will be very interesting to see what Fares and the team have worked on since their last GOTY winner.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the name? How will they reinvent split-screen co-op? Was It Takes Two your game of the year? Let us know below.
