BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – No change in the general weather pattern in the short term and no chance of rain over the next seven days. Tuesday will be mostly sunny and dry, with temperatures starting in the 50s and reaching the upper 80s in the afternoon.

Clear skies tonight will allow us to potentially see the peak of the Orionid meteor shower looking in every direction after dark.

In the tropics it is relatively calm, in the Atlantic there is only Oscar, there are no threats and nothing new is expected to develop.

Locally, our moisture levels will slowly increase over the next few days, but there will be no rain.
