Late summer warmth mid to late week

Late summer warmth mid to late week

TUESDAY: The warming trend continues throughout the week in the Mid-South. Expect more sunshine – mixed with some haze and a few passing high clouds. A morning start in the 50s will climb back toward the lower 80s during the afternoon hours. A few passing clouds will remain tonight and low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY: The high and dry pattern continues – as highs continue to rise; Although we’re not a record holder, we’ll be knocking on the back door of record warmth by midweek. Expect highs in the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies; with mostly clear skies reaching the upper 50s.

ADVANCED FORECAST: Behind a weak front, highs will drop slightly on Thursday – but still remain warm for this time of year. Expect highs in the low to mid 80s before another front arrives over the weekend that could trigger a heavy shower or two. This weekend we will dip back into the high 70s for a short period of time before moving back toward the lower 80s early next week. Another front could move through the region by mid-to-late next week – which could provide a better chance of rain.
