“Venom 3” was named “best Venom film” in initial reactions

Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters this week to conclude the story of Eddie and Venom, and now we have our first reactions to the new film.

Screenplay and direction: Kelly Marcel (based on a story by Marcel and Tom Hardy), Poison 3 ties in with the events of Venom: Let There Be Carnage with Eddie Brock and Venom on the run.

The unlikely duo are hunted from both worlds and have little hope of escape. A devastating decision is forced that will mark Eddie and Venom’s final dance.

The lucky few who have already seen the film have now shared their first reactions on Twitter. That’s how it is Poison 3 a worthy conclusion to the trilogy?

Venom: The Last Dance is the most entertaining of the trilogy,” he wrote Digital spy‘s film editor Ian Sandwell.

“It’s mostly a fun and sweet road trip with Eddie and Venom living their own lives Thelma and Louise Escape dreams including car karaoke and dog rescue. You might even get emotional.

TheWrapDrew Taylor agreed: “Venom: The Last Dance is the best of it Poison Movies – the madness was greatly increased, but so was the heart. It’s not perfect, but it’s super entertaining.”

“It’s a fun popcorn movie that reminds me of the comic book movies of the early 2000s,” he added ScreenRant‘s Joseph Lidmeier. “There are a lot of funny moments. Are there plot holes and some problems with the story? Yes. Is it fun? And yes.”

Other early reactions teased Poison 3is the “crazy” final act and praises the film as “classic guilty pleasure cinema”.

Ahead of its release this week Poison 3 The running time has been confirmed to be almost 109 minutes, which is about the same length as Poison and 15 minutes longer than the sequel.

The final film in the trilogy brings back Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom, as well as Stephen Graham’s Patrick Mulligan from the sequel and Peggy Lu as Mrs Chen.

Surprisingly, both Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rhys Ifans are there Poison 3 too, but not like her previous Marvel characters (barring an unlikely twist). The newcomers also include Juno Temple and Alanna Ubach.

Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25th.
