NFL Power Rankings after Week 7: The Steelers just keep winning, like they always do under Mike Tomlin

It would have been an easy decision for Mike Tomlin to stick with Justin Fields. The Pittsburgh Steelers were 4-2. Most head coaches mindlessly stick with the status quo when they win games.

By now we should understand that Tomlin is a good coach for a reason.

Tomlin went to Russell Wilson, and Wilson played well as the Steelers posted season-highs in yards and points against a supposedly talented New York Jets defense. They are 5-2 and while that is a surprise, the foundation for the Steelers is solid as always. The Steelers still have a difficult remaining schedule to contend with, although that’s looking a little easier now with the Cleveland Browns falling apart.

We should assume Tomlin is pushing all the right buttons and the Steelers aren’t going anywhere this season. This shouldn’t be a surprise now.
