Wyoming High School Football Computer Rankings (10/21/2024)

Following Week 8 of the Wyoming high school football season, High School on SI releases its new computer rankings for this week.

Campbell County retains the top spot in the Class 4A computer standings heading into Week 9 of the football season, with Cody atop Class 3A and Star Valley defending Class 2A.

SBLive’s formula was created using the linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking method. Colley’s method was developed by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He developed his algorithm to address the subjectivity and controversy surrounding BCS college football selection in the 1990s and early 2000s using a method that did not use subjective variables.
