Chargers vs. Cardinals live score, updates, highlights from Monday Night Football NFL game.

With their performance on Monday night, the Chargers are one of the biggest surprises of the NFL season. After a 5-12 season, Los Angeles has a chance to move one win away from matching last season’s point total with a road win against the Cardinals.

The Chargers’ success is due in large part to Jim Harbaugh, who is currently in his first season as head coach. The former Michigan coach has already left his mark on the team, as Los Angeles is currently 3-2. Quarterback Justin Herbert is off to a solid start, totaling 815 passing yards with six touchdowns and one interception in five games so far.

Los Angeles enters the game in last place this season, underlining just 766 total passing yards, making it one of two teams without 1,000 passing yards this season. However, the Chargers have also only allowed 1,446 total yards on defense, the best in the NFL so far this year.

Harbaugh’s status in the game is also worth watching, as the head coach briefly left LA’s last game with atrial flutter.

On the other side of the field are the Cardinals, who have had an inconsistent but exciting start to the season. At 2-4, Arizona is tied for last place in the division, but both of the Cardinals’ wins came against division opponents the Rams and 49ers.

With a win, Arizona could move within one game of first place in the NFC West, where the Seahawks currently sit at 4-3. Quarterback Kyler Murray has started the season well, recording 1,186 passing yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions in six games.

The game’s main storyline was whether wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will play after entering the concussion protocol last week, but he cleared protocol during the week and is expected to play on Monday.
