Ohio High School Football Computer Rankings (10/21/2024)

Nine weeks into the 2024 Ohio high school football season have passed and High School on SI releases its updated computer rankings of the state’s top OHSAA teams.

Archbishop Moeller continues to hold the top spot in Division I after a thrilling win over St. Edward last week.

Marion Local may be in Division VII, but the Flyers continued to show that they would be a formidable opponent against competition from higher divisions.

SBLive’s formula was created using a proprietary linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking method. Colley’s method was developed by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He developed his algorithm to address the subjectivity and controversy surrounding BCS college football selection in the 1990s and early 2000s using a method that did not use subjective variables.
