Community-wide film night at ATU on November 3rd

Arkansas Tech University will host a community movie night on Sunday, November 3, featuring the animated film “Elemental” on the new video board at Simmons Bank Field at Thone Stadium.

Gates to Simmons Bank Field at Thone Stadium will open at 3 p.m. There will be an inflatable bump-and-jump obstacle course on the soccer field starting at 3 p.m. The film starts at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Free popcorn and water will be served while supplies last. Participants are asked to bring a blanket and sit either on the football field or in the Buerkle Berm, located behind the north end zone. Seating will also be available in the stadium’s stands.

Parking at ATU is open on weekends. Guests are therefore welcome to park in any available parking space. Vehicles parked outside designated areas are at risk of being towed.

“Elemental” was released in 2023 by Disney and Pixar. The PG-rated film is set in Element City and tells the story of the friendship between main characters Ember and Wade. “Elemental” has been nominated for the 2024 Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.
