From fall to a taste of spring as our warmer trend continues

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sunshine will continue to be plentiful next week as temperatures rise each afternoon. It will still be a shifty day for most of the week as mornings continue to be chilly, but we will see more of a typical chill in the air as we remain close to normal.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Skies will remain clear overnight, allowing our temperatures to drop quickly again throughout the evening and into Tuesday morning. Lows will remain fairly consistent as we are in the low to mid 40s on the way to work and school.

While our mornings will be seasonal, our afternoons will actually be above average again thanks to lots of sunshine. Winds from the northeast remain weak and continue to produce drier air. Highs on Tuesday will reach into the mid 70s again, but won’t stop there as upper 70s to near 80 are possible through Wednesday.

The look forward

High pressure is our best friend for the calm weather in the game, but is also causing some of the drought to return to our western counties. The chance of rain appears to be minimal over the next 8 days, but an isolated shower cannot be ruled out along the cold front Friday into Saturday.

Even if rain doesn’t play a big role, the front seems to be cooling us down a bit. For the latest information, see your WVLT First Alert 8-Day Planner.
