Popular restaurant chain is coming to Spotsylvania

First Watch will open a restaurant in this building in Cosner’s Corner.

A popular restaurant chain is coming to the Cosner’s Corner area in Spotsylvania County.

First Watch, which operates 535 restaurants in 29 states, will open at 10101 Patriot Highway. The Spotsylvania Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors approved the renovation and use permits, said Michelle McGinnis, the county’s director of community engagement and tourism.

The restaurant is expected to open next spring, a First Watch representative said. The building where First Watch will go was the home of Fatty’s Taphouse 2 until last weekend when it closed.

First Watch’s website describes the restaurant as a “leading daytime dining concept, serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch and lunch with fresh ingredients.” It has been repeatedly mentioned as one of the brands area residents enjoy would see.
