Richard Ashcroft has been announced as a special guest for Oasis Live ’25 – Music News

Richard Ashcroft has been announced as a special guest on the Oasis Live ’25 tour.

The “Lucky Man” singer will join reunited brothers Noel Gallagher, 57, and Liam Gallagher, 52, at their mammoth 19 sell-out shows across the UK and Ireland.

Richard is a long-time friend of the Gallaghers, whose former band The Verve toured often with Oasis in the ’90s, and he is thrilled to have been invited to support them on tour.

The 53-year-old musician said: “As a fan from day one, I was thrilled for many reasons when news of Oasis’ return was announced.”

“I can say without exaggeration that Noel’s songwriting talent and Liam’s pure spirit as lead singer have inspired me to create some of my best work.

“It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try to write my own. You dared to be great, made the dreams we had come true and I will always remember those days with joy.

“Now it’s time to make more memories and I’m ready to bring them with me. See you next summer. Music is power.”

The ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ singer will take to the stages at Cardiff Principality Stadium on July 4th and 5th and at Manchester Heaton Park on July 11th, 12th, 16th, 19th and 20th.

London’s Wembley Stadium will host the trio on July 25th, 26th and 30th and August 2nd and 3rd, before returning on September 27th and 28th.

They will be at Edinburgh Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 8th, 9th and 12th and Croke Park in Dublin on August 16th and 17th.

The rest of the support cast is yet to be announced.

The right choice was made because there is a long connection and strong mutual respect between the three musicians.

One of Oasis’ first national tours was in support of The Verve in 1993, often playing to just a few hundred people several months before the release of debut single “Supersonic”.

After a failed Amsterdam reunion in 1994 following a drunken incident on a ferry that resulted in most of the band having to be sent back to the UK – with the exception of Noel, who went solo instead – they were back together and supporting the following year Richard’s band at the Bataclan in Paris.

Noel and Liam will also travel to the USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia.
