The mysterious Nintendo Switch playtest has apparently been leaked and it looks like a Minecraft-meets-MMO game where players "evolve" a planet together.

After We’re recruiting players to test a mysterious “new feature” for Switch Online recently, Nintendo hasn’t publicly revealed any details about it – however, some supposed leaks about the playtest have emerged that point to exciting possibilities.

With registration completion after just seven minutesMost ardent fans had no chance of gaining access to the company’s mysterious playtest program. However, it didn’t take long for leaks to emerge from the lucky few who got in, and it looks like Nintendo has some sort of new MMO up its sleeve. A post from Twitter user NintyPrime also appears to share early screenshots of the playtest’s detail highlights, suggesting a game like… Minecraft.

The post claims that the goal of Nintendo’s unnamed project appears to be to “fully develop a vast, expansive planet through the use of creativity and agricultural resources.” As players progress, they will “discover new lands, enemies and resources that will be of vital importance.” While the crafting, collecting and survival aspects really remind me of that MojangWhile it’s a creativity-stimulating gem, it also seems pretty unique as it focuses more on more social features.

However, there’s no telling which direction the playtest will ultimately go – but I personally hope these leaks are true, as a planet-building MMO sounds brilliant. The whole thing also seems to have an RPG-like feel, with a character that you can “level up” and fight against cryptic “enemies.”
