Carved (2024) – Review | Hulu horror comedy

“Ripe for revenge”

The slogan for Carved is “Ripe for Revenge,” which beautifully sets the tone for this Hulu horror comedy. This is really about the pumpkin and the trauma you experience watching people carve into its kind.

All in all, what Carved What it does so well is creating likeable (or entertaining) characters while focusing on practical effects. It’s just a solid starting point and the effects are damn tasty and perfect for a horror comedy.

The cast includes Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Corey Fogelmanis (Ma) and Wyatt Lindner as the three main characters. However, the supporting cast is absolutely great. They may not get much screen time, but they are unforgettable.

By Carla Jimenez, Matty Cardarople (Stranger Things) and Jackson Kelly (Teacup) to Sasha Mason and Chris Elliott. Plus the wonderful DJ Qualls (Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities), who, together with Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur, becomes in many ways the heart of the story.

Plus, it all starts with the reporter, portrayed by Elvis Nolasco, who played the title character Mr. Crocketanother Hulu Halloween movie (or “Huluween,” if you will) from 2024.
