The Maw: What’s new in PC gaming this week?

The Maw: What’s new in PC gaming this week?

I wish you all a nice week! In my effort to achieve the absolute calm needed to spend five days shoveling PC gaming news into a ravenous otherworldly monster, I often go for early morning walks. I mostly do this while wearing my trusty, enveloping honcho poncho, because summer is long behind us in the UK and the air is starting to press. Anyway, I think I actually got someone to cross the street on my walk this morning. It turns out that walking around at sunrise near Halloween looking like a Ringwraith is a great way to become a menacing figure. Sorry, neighbor! I will wear this beautiful top hat and opera mask from my social time in the future. Anyway, let’s feed the maw.

We’re opening on Monday, October 21st with a heavy dose of infrastructure: the Early Access launch of Railroad Corporation 2 and the debut of Factorio’s Space Age expansion. On Tuesday, October 22nd, The Axis Unseen is here to bring heavy metal to Skyrim, while No More Room In Hell 2 is aimed at the undead lovers. Wednesday October 23rd is the birthday of the almost offensively laid-back picture puzzle Wilmot Works It Out and the magnificent deck and city builder Technotopia, but perhaps you’d rather be a terrible fly. On Thursday, October 24th, a small army of indie releases and relative unknowns will weather the clouds of explosion created by the release of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – that’s the Japanese small-town life sim Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town, the charmingly bleak FPS offense, dynasty management RPG remake Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge Of The Seven and Dead Cell’s dashing younger brother Windblown. As for Friday, October 25th, let’s keep it simple and pick just one game: Anime Star Foxer Rogue Flight.

You know the bottom line: These are just my recommendations and they might suck. Your choices may vary. Should be different. Please give me a hard time in the comments. No really, I crave correction. Additionally, below you’ll find our news live blog with the usual restless landslide of gossip and have a pleasant week.
