Hey Dude Casual Footwear is open at Gloucester Premium Outlets Blackwood

Hey Dude, a cool and comfortable casual shoe brand, has opened a new store at Gloucester Premium Outlets, located in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

Hey Dude places great value on comfort. Some say it’s like wearing slippers! With stylish looks reminiscent of the boating or beach bar lifestyle, they quickly caught the attention of global buyers.

Lightweight, comfortable, well-made and stylish, the casual shoe line was founded in Italy in 2008 and entered the US market in 2010.

Their original shoe is called “The Wally,” a slip-on casual shoe that offers multiple features to create a lightweight (yet well-made) shoe, as well as a proprietary foam insole construction with a pillow-soft bottom that feels just as soft and cuddly like clouds.

The Hey Dude brand quickly became popular with buyers worldwide, as evidenced by the fact that the one millionth pair was sold in the first 30 months. Today they sell over 7 million pairs… every calendar quarter!

In 2021, Crocs purchased the brand for $2.5 billion and the company expanded its brick-and-mortar retail presence by accelerating the opening of additional locations across the United States.

Over the years, the brand has expanded its range to include sneakers as well as women’s and children’s shoes. They’ve even added some “Hey Dude” branded clothing, including t-shirts and baseball caps.

With new owner Crocs at the helm, Hey Dude is also steering the ship toward increased brand awareness. This year, they hired actress Sydney Sweeney as their global spokesperson (with one of the first commercials shot entirely “on brand” on a boat dock).

Earlier this month, country musician Jelly Roll signed a deal with the casual shoe brand, offering his own shoe design.

There’s even a bright yellow SpongeBob-themed shoe for a sense of fun and whimsy!

Hello Dude – Gloucester Premium Outlets

For the new Gloucester Premium Outlets store, Hey Dude is located one store further away from the central open courtyard. Just take the path between Loft Outlet and Calvin Klein. Clarks is right next to Hey Dude and in close proximity are also Lucky Brand Jeans, Kate Spade New York and Steve Madden, to name a few.

Inside, they did a great job designing the store, with a fun and casual design that matches the branding of the shoe…an outdoor adventurous vibe.

As you would expect, the shoes are divided into different sections based on style and gender

One area showcases the Haymakerz line of shoes and accessories, where shoppers can choose from a selection of appliqués to create their custom shoe that perfectly fits their personality.
