PSX Shakes Off Downtrend as Bulls Take Back Power – Business

KARACHI (Dunya News) – After a bearish trend last week, bulls returned to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.

The KSE-100 index rose 588 points to 85,839 points in early morning trade on the first day of the new fiscal week.

The positive trend continued, by midday the index rose by 657.08 points and climbed to 85,907 points.

It may be recalled that the PSX witnessed a negative trend on Friday as the KSE-100 index fell 335 points to 85,250 at the close.

However, the PSX set a new record last week as the KSE-100 index rose above 86,000 points on Wednesday.

US DOLLARS

Meanwhile, the Pak rupee continued to strengthen against the US dollar in interbank trade.

The greenback fell 6 paisa to Rs 277.55 from Rs 277.61 in early morning trade.
