PEEC news:

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) would like to announce that construction on the exterior of the Los Alamos Nature Center will begin on Monday, October 21st and is expected to last approximately three weeks.

The Los Alamos Nature Center will remain open throughout the project with no expected disruption to its regular hours or PEEC programming. This construction is part of Los Alamos County’s ongoing efforts to improve the nature center facility and ensure it meets the needs of visitors.

PEEC appreciates the community’s understanding and support in improving the building. In addition to building construction, nearby projects are also underway, including the Urban Trail Project and the ADA Trail in Kinnikinnik Park. Although these projects are separate, PEEC will continue to communicate any relevant updates to ensure a seamless experience for Nature Center visitors.

PEEC encourages everyone to visit the Los Alamos Nature Center this fall and enjoy the exhibits and programs.
